Because not all illustrations are satirical.

Foresight, with hindsight

A cartoon for The Guardian from 2003, looking forward to the impossibly distant 2020.

I did a satirical photomontage cartoon in The Guardian every week from 1990 to 1995, with my friend Paul Jeremy, who knew technical details like the name of the Foreign Minister. The cartoons were created in PageMaker (no longer available), compressed with DiskDoubler (no longer available) and stored on floppy disks. I still have the floppy disks but have no idea what to do with them.

How photomontage images are put together

This montage of a punk fish was created for Imbibe Magazine.

I have no idea why they wanted a punk fish. Illustrators aren’t told these details.
